Re: Updating firmware via USB DFU
There is an imcompatibility with the original bootloader firmware and some Mac devices. You really only have two options: update from a PC, or send it to Brewers Hardware to have the latest bootloader firmware installed (which would then allow you to update from a Mac in the future).

Re: BCS-462 to Measure Pulse Signal from Flowmeter and control solenoid
The BCS does not directly support this. However, I fill my 30 gallon kettles using the timing method and it is very accurate. There are only 3 variables involved in liquid flow measurement via timing. (This works just like the fuel injectors in your car.) If you have (1) a fixed orifice for the flow...

Re: BCS 462 extension outputs
Unfortunately, in the context of the conversation in the thread, it was a discussion about what could possibly be a replacement for the expansion boards.

Re: Web based DIN button?
The older 3.x firmware has the WIN buttons. Their only use was as a trigger to exit a state (to move to another state). With the 4.x firmware, that functionality isn't needed since all state buttons are shown at the same time in the UI, so you can directly jump to any state without needing the WIN b...

Re: BCS 462 extension outputs
The expansion bus has never been programmable to use with 3rd party expansion boards. Whoever recommended that to you gave you bad info.

Re: BCS 462 extension outputs
The expansion ports Exp0/Exp1 are limited to driving LED displays for the temp probes. From the docs: http://docs.embeddedcc.com/settings/ Expansion Devices LED display devices can be added to the BCS by connecting them to the EXP0 and EXP1 connections. LED displays are useful when you are building ...

Re: BCS 4.1.3 Firmware Release
I have not been able to reproduce this and it's difficult to say whether this is the original Mac compatibility issue brahn previously mentioned. Honestly, it would just be best to send it over to Brewers Hardware and have both the bootloader and flash image updated to the latest versions.

Re: Glycol Backup
Set an exit condition on the glycol temp probe to jump to another state. Have that state shutoff the solenoids.
