Do you have one of the first batch units with the thicker end plates? I'm wondering if the USB cable isn't making a good contact. Can you test it without the end plate on the case?

Very odd. Can you go to "Device Manager" and see if you have any unknown devices. When plugging in the USB, do you get any kind of audible confirmation that a device was attached to your system? It should appear in device manager even if you haven't loaded the driver with Zadig.

Are you applying power to the BCS in addition to attaching the USB cable? It must be powered up by 12V.

What version of Windows are you on?
You can also try going to "Options" and select "List All Devices". The 482 should be displayed like below.

Medic_Slim - There's something funky going on here with this unit. We'd like to swap it out with a new one for you so we can take a look at what is causing issues on this one. Please call Curtis at Brewers Hardware. He will issue a UPS call tag to pick yours up and he'll send you a new one.

Are you power cycling it after the flash? That needs to be done to take it out of DFU mode. Also unplug the USB before power cycling.

Running the installation command line under Homebrew (/usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)") it asks for a password - it shows a key. What do I do to get around this? That's going to be your administrative sudo password to allow...

I've updated the ZIP to include the QT platforms folder. That should fix it.
