Re: momentary switch to control temp settings
I use 2 DIN's to control boil kettle heat with PWM, momentary contact center off switch, one way to jump a boil program to a step 5% higher pulse width, other way to jump the boil program to a step 5% lower pulse width. I have redundant exit conditions set up so that I can use windows buttons if I h...

Re: Incorrect hysteresis?
Take a look at the System Settings page and verify that you have both PID and Hysteresis Output Control Settings properly, heat radio button on for the heater and cool radio button on for the fridge.

Feature Request - Update Temp Set Point
First time I tried to ramp up temperatures I noticed that the temperature set point display in the Current State Properties stays at the original set point even though the actual set point is changing with time as it should. The display only gets updated when I do a screen reload or switch off the M...

Buttons and Timers
I just updated to ver. 3.4.2 on my BCS460 and now don't see any buttons or timers on the Main Control page. What am I missing? I like the changes to the Edit Processes page. Makes it much easier to look through a process for editing. Please disregard comment on buttons and timers. I found the answer...

Pause / Resume Button
On processes 0-3 the Pause Button pauses the process and changes it's caption from "Pause Process" to "Resume Process". On processes 4-7 the Pause Button pauses the process but does not change it's caption. Makes a little confusion, but not an important problem.

Re: Faulty SSR?
When there is no input signal and no load on an SSR you will see the line voltage on the output. As soon as you plug in a heating element or puno you should see the voltage drop to zero. I use neon lamps as pilot lights and they all light up when there is no other load on the outlet. As soon as some...

Re: trouble with resetcpu.dat and response codes
How could a reset of the CPU send a response? When it restarts it will not have a record of what reset it, just like a cold start when power is applied. The fact that it continues to communicate should be sufficient. If not, set a register, test for it, send the reset and test the register again. Wh...

Re: BCS-462 not connecting to network
I think that I have solved my own problem. I can repeat the unconnected BCS consistently if I go to the Data Logging page and start a New Window for Dynamic Update. The problem came up again when I left it running for a few hours. I got no response from the BCS when I tried to refresh the screen, no...

Re: BCS-462 not connecting to network
ChuckO2999, can you give a little more info? Specifically, when you say it connects again (after dropping off), is that due to a power cycle, or it just spuriously reconnects? What is your connection setup (wireless/wired-to-router/direct-connect)? When it was connected to the router: What firmware...

Re: BCS-462 not connecting to network
I'm having the same problem with a BCS-460 loosing connection to the network. It runs fine for a few hours and then starts to show "BCS not connected" with a retry time and failure count. It then connects again for a short time but does it again. After a few times it shows "BCS connec...
