Re: OK, what do I need??

I fired up my RIMS system today, and I am disapointed in the heat. I used the RIMS tube from Brewers Hardware, and a 3800 watt element, but running on 110 volts. The 5 gallons of water in the tun never got over 75 degrees. I used a March pump. Do I need to run the element on 220 to get enough heat o...

Solenoid actuated valves?

I would like to turn on and off my water inlet to the HLT with a valve controlled by my BCS. I have searched for some valves that can do this, but can't seem to find one... I am new to this. Is there a souce that is already proven?

Thank you!

Re: CIRCUITLAB

I am just beginning to put my system together, and it is nice to have a starting point. Thank you! I actually hadn't thought much yet about the circuitry. I was just going to fire the relay from the BCS and send the 110v right to the heater and/or pump. couple of wires, and done. This is better, and...

Can't connect now

While waiting for the rest of my hadware to be deliverd, I have been playing around with my new BCS-462. Things were going well until I decided to chage the port number from 80 to 8080. Now I can't connect. I use the port number in the address, like in the example, but no luck. Frustrating. So I dec...

Not quite getting it...

OK, so, I got my new BCS-462 today. I have been lurking here for a while trying to get the hang of things. I was all set to try the program in the thread, "Mash cycle program", but can't find where to enter the text of the application programming code. I kind of have the state machine figu...

Re: OK, what do I need??

Thanks to everyone for all of the help and the pictures. I have decided to go with the RIMS module from Brewers Hardware and use a combo system, gas to fire the HLT, and do the initial warming of the Mashing Tun, then electric to maintain the temp in the Mashing Tun. GBrewer, where did you get that ...

Re: OK, what do I need??

Will that element fit into the RIMS module from Brewers Hardware since thier module is smaller in length and diameter? I see from the diagram of your RIMS module there are two 1/2" NF-NPT fittings one for liquid sensor and one for thermocouple. DO you use both of those? Do the both have thrmoco...
