Re: DHCP reservation

Re: DHCP reservation
You can either use the "system reset" option at the bottom of the settings page or you can just power cycle it. Don't use the reset button, it's not needed. Hey would ya look at that, never even saw that down there. Well I've given up on this for the night. I gotta think it has something ...

Re: DHCP reservation
Some routers will not let you access the internal device from the local network using the external IP. You must actually be on an external internet device to test it. You can do that with your smart phone if you turn your WiFi off (so it is on your carriers network, not your LAN). Random question b...

Re: DHCP reservation
I just tried changing the port in the BCS settings section to 8123 as well and though I do now need to add that when getting on the local network I'm still struggling to get the port open. Yarghh! i'll try changing the UDP to zero.
p.s Thanks for your time tonight!

Re: DHCP reservation
When utlizing D-Link they show TCP and UDP. This is how I have it setup and saved. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c252/berrywise/port_zpsvghle9lt.png I then did a restart of my BCS Lastly I log onto: xxx.xx.xx.xx:8123 (using whatismyip.com to figure that out). When I visit http://www.yougetsignal...

Re: DHCP reservation
Thanks for the quick response Jon. I just hit save on everything that I've shown above so I believe I've configured DHCP reservation. Once I add a port (should it be 8080?) to my router's port forwarding do I alos then need to unplug the BCS to let it restart?

DHCP reservation
Doing a little bit of forum research tonight and came along the suggestion to assign a range of IPs for my BCS-460. I've always had issues when turning my panel on having it relocate to a different address and I need to go in and find it etc. I also would like to accomplish port forwarding so that I...

Re: Temperature Probe Accuracy
I never have, I believe I read that they came pre calibrated. That said I should note that my ice bath has too much water and not enough ice. I put another thermometer and it reads 42 degrees.

Temperature Probe Accuracy
I purchased all of my temperature probes from Electric Brewing Supply. I was curious if this is the kind of readings that are expected, with the probes having about a two-three degree swing from each other. In my test I used the three on the right, therminator, boil, rims probes. Ice bath, all subme...
