Weird loss of communication error

Post by roc-craven »

Any Idea why I'm getting this error "There was an unrecoverable error communicating with the BCS. Please reload the page."
Only happens on my BCS-462's. It happens on all three that I own. The BCS-482 works just fine.
To fix it I have to power cycle the controller. It works for a few hours and then resorts back to the error.

If this is happening on 3 units, I'd have to say it is environmental. Are you on DHCP or static addresses? Is it possible something else is using the same address? Are you running into a switch or hub? 10/100/1000 link? Possibly an auto-negotiation issue? Are the cat-5 cables to the units running near any high RF or high voltage devices or wiring?

Static. I didn't think about the switch. cat-5 is isolated away from all our power.
Thanks for the thoughts on what I should look at. Sometimes the obvious escapes me.
