Ok....I guess that makes me feel better....
One last question....
I don't seem to be able to get the display to change from one temp setting to another.....In other words, If I change it from Temp 1 to Temp 2 , the display does not appear to be updating.
Thoughts?
Wire external 7 digit display
Re: Wire external 7 digit display
You're hitting Apply? I don't think I've seen that, but you could try resetting the BCS.

Yes.brahn wrote:You're hitting Apply? I don't think I've seen that, but you could try resetting the BCS.
I've reset, I've done a full power down of both segment and BCS.....nada
7 seg does show power up display, so I know it's working.....default light is also still flashing
Re: Wire external 7 digit display
I can't look at mine right now, but I thought flashing is bad on the debug light. Do you have more than one LED display hooked up?
Re: Wire external 7 digit display
I only have one display.brahn wrote:I can't look at mine right now, but I thought flashing is bad on the debug light. Do you have more than one LED display hooked up?
Flashing debug means connected properly but not receiving data
Re: Wire external 7 digit display
Can you post a screenshot of the config?

Re: Wire external 7 digit display
I tested by changing it to the 2b connection....but still nothing
Re: Wire external 7 digit display
I assume you also updated the LED to address 2b. That configuration should work fine, I've tested lots of similar configs. None of the wiring came loose?
Re: Wire external 7 digit display
I did change address on display board as well to 2b.
I've checked the wires 10 times. It's driving me nuts.
It seems like a communication issue since the debug led is blinking.....but would that be the board or the BCS?
Is there any way to see what EXP1 and EXP0 are sending as signals?
