4th time I am using this, and for some reason now when I go to adj mash temp set point, its simply not there??
I click on Mash button and element turns on and just stays on, no SP in dial either its just 100% on.
restarted BCS couple times... same thing, then when I go to process editor and try to change something
"warning settings not saved"...
using chrome...
lost???

Re: Cant adjust set points
Try a power cycle. Unplug BCS. Leave off for 30 seconds. Plug back in. Nothing special about30 sec but I like to make sure power was off. Also if you describe your process and settings exactly then maybe a better answer
1. Process 0
State 0 = Mash
HLT Heater = PID = SetPoint = 155
More is better than less detail

Some screen shots of your configuration would go a long ways in helping you solve what's going on.
Re: Cant adjust set points
Also a simple reason the BCS will not "save". The power is "off" or the network is down. When my network is down or the BCS is unplugged, Everything looks normal and you can go from Main Control to Process Editor just as normal, but if you try to save something, it will not. Make sure you have both lights "On" or blinking on the BCS.
Many years ago I was a cable tech and got a guy complaining about his vcr not working any more after we worked on his cable. He moved his VCR from the bedroom to the living room. It worked fine before "we" did the work in the bed room, but we messed it up in the living room. I made an "emergency" service call and plugged in his VCR. It worked fine.

There was an issue with IE. Not sure if it was ever fixed.

Re: Cant adjust set points
I finally did get this to work, though I dont really know why. After some restarts it seemed to work. Very frustrating to say the least.
I couldnt get IE to work at all, so stuck with Chrome. I didnt try FF.

Computers are Computers. They occasionally need a swift kick (reboot).
