Dropping Communication

Post by Brewing208 »

Hello,

I am having issues in dropping communication with my BCS-462. I am set on DHCP with a port of 41000. I can reboot the device and get online with it and everything works as it should. After a minute or two the screen locks up on me. I can ping the address with the screen locked up and its fine. It takes a power cycle in order for me to connect again. What am I missing? I am plugged directly into my century link router.

Not that it really matters, but what firmware version are you on?

There are no known communications issues. When I've seen sporadic communication behavior like this in the past, it was usually when two devices were using the same IP address. Can you try pinging the IP address you're using with the BCS unplugged to see if there is something else also using that address?

I am using version 4.0.1. I tried multiple IP addresses. I am going to start working on it again and will try to search for conflicting IP's.
