Timers stop when updating system settings

Apparently, the timers of running processes stop sometimes when system settings are updated.

I can't specifically say if this is really a bug or not, but my approach to system setup and process modification is that those are pre-brew steps that shouldn't be modified during the running of the processes.

Having done a bit of programming myself, I would never expect the BCS to properly track all objects if I am using the editing tools to change the underlying processes and states while they are running.
