I am trying to figure out the states for my first run in my Herms system.
This is what I am thinking so far. But I am kind of stuck on mashing in. Does it have to be a new state or can I use the pause button. I want to start a new timer once I have mashed in Is there some what to make a web button start a new timer at this point?
STATE 1 HEAT
Close all Valves
Open Valves 1 & 4 to allow Pump 1 to prime (Once MLT is filled)
Open Valves 6 & 8 to allow Pump 2 to prime
Fill HLT and BK
Hook hose from top of BK to top of MLT or just hang it in kettle?
Heat HLT to 149
Heat BK to 155
Short Alarm
STATE 2 TRANSFER
FILL MLT WITH PUMP 2 TO DETERMINED LEVEL
STOP PUMP 1 USING WEB BUTTON
STATE 3 STABALIZE HEAT
RUN PUMP 1
HEAT MLT TO 149 (NEED TO SET MLT PROBE TO CONTROL HLT HEAT)
STOP PUMP 1
ALARM
PRESS PAUSE BUTTON ?
MASH IN

Re: New State or Pause
I think you want MASH IN to be a state, and you only exit it and go to MASH if you hit a physical or web button. Then the MASH state exits to MASH OUT state at 60 minutes...
This has worked for me and has been one of the few things I have not tweaked for the last 10-15 batches..
