This is a bug fix version only. New features and enhancements will be in a forthcoming version.

Is this for both 460 and 462?

Thanks Jon!

Those who brought up the size issue for the I/O on the main page, I'd like to hear what you think of the increased size in this version.

4.0.0 Firmware has a problem with temperature below zero in Celsius mode. Temperature below zero is allways 0.0 on display. And disconnected temperature sensor is 0.0 too! Now, in winter (I have temperature below zero in cellar) it is really confusing. The old firmware was working properly, -1°C was -1.0 on display (not 0.0) and disconnected sensor was -17 (not 0.0).
I think 4.0.1 is the same. Is is possible to fix it? For disconnected sensors is better something like -17 then 0.0 because 0°C is possible temperature in beer-storage cellar.

Thanks for the report JImram, I'll have to look into this. Which display mode are you using? I'd suggest trying the Compact mode as a workaround as it may display the negative values properly.

The problem is independent on display mode. And the same is on external LED display.

installed new firmware,
finder detected BCS-460 (see attached),
cannot access the unit because password protection is enabled with the update

I don't use authentication and, based on my experiences, this is the first time that the unit was protected after an upgrade.
Please help. Thanks!

I think there is something else in play here. I've upgraded 2 460's and 2 462's in the last couple of days and none of them have had this issue.

Have you tried the default username/password to see if that works? To clear it, push and hold the reset button for 8 seconds.

I did a little testing with the latest beta:
It seems you can have a 9 character password.
If you try to enter a 10 or more Character password, you have locked yourself out. It does not seem to truncate which was the behavior in beta 2.
The page still says 10 characters are allowed.
Stick with 8 characters or less and it works fine without any issues.
You will need to use the default "control" password as soon as you check the checkbox to use authentication.

I was able to log in using "admin/control". The authentication checkbox was active!
