Looks like, I've hit a bcs482 "restore" bug then I pressed button on a back of the device and configured everything manually. It was stable for last 2 days and now during process editing it crashed again. Device does not respond again.

What is the proper way to reset everything after the crash?

Thanks!

Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds while applying power.

So far so good, for about a week or so.

Thank you!

When is the next release and fix of this bug scheduled?
Thanks!
The bug isn't in the 482, it's in the backup/restore utility. I don't have a date, but I know it's is being looked at.
Update? I cannot make changes to my BCS 482 and save them. I have had it crash more than once and had to restore a BCS 462 file.

Just a quick update that I did receive a replacement endcap cover and it seems to work fine. It's about 1/2 the thickness of the original endcap cover.

So, does this bug also affect the BCS 462?? Like several others, I regularly use the backup/restore utility to save process formats for different brews and conditions. So far it's worked really well for this (whereas I've found that the "Recipes" utility is finicky and have rarely used this to any effect).

Since updating to 4.1.1 build 429194c1 , I'm finding that restore is hanging. Just this evening I did a back-up of my last brew and then tried to restore an earlier JSON file that I needed to re-evaluate. The green line began to move across but then hung. Tried several times to no avail. Anyone with a fix for this or do we have to wait for this specific bug fix?

The bug is only with the 482 since the logic in the utility wasn't designed to handle the output count of the 482.

Here is a (fixed) pre-release version of the utilities: http://lawn-chair.github.io/bcs-backup/

Please provide feedback on it if you have issues.

The pre-release version of utilities you posted (http://lawn-chair.github.io/bcs-backup/) works fine for my restore - all good now for both up- and down-loads.
Thanks much!

As an aside but related to this, meant to ask if it's possible -or could be- to see the currently uploaded JSON file name somewhere - maybe in Settings or even on the Main control page???
