I have no idea what the requirements are for brewpi. BCS Desktop is pretty slim, but if you're running MySQL, Apache, PHP type combo on a B, you're probably going to be disappointed with the performance.

I have a question dealing with screen resolution on the Raspberry Pi running the BCS Desktop App. I have gotten the V5.0 up and running on a direct connect RPI using the Raspberry PI Touchscreen. When I do a "/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -s" on the PI I see that the screen returns a resolution of 800 x 400. When in the standard GUI interface for the pi everything lines up great. When I run the BCS Desktop App it is beyond the screen edges.
Is there a trick to getting the app to adjust to the same screen resolution as the standard GUI?

Any help would be great. Thanks

No trick, just need to resize the form to be what you want. You need to enter customization mode and resize the main form.

Ok thanks, I did that and it did reduce the screen but when I do that the BCS-Desktop object locks into these parameters H:440 W:398 and I can't change them. It shrinks way to small at this point. When I try to change the parameters they just keep going back to this default: H:440 W:398. Also I notice that the Image visible box indicates FALSE, I tried to change it to TRUE but it also just keeps going back to FALSE. Tried restarting everything but did not resolve issue. I also turned most all the objects to false to see if something was locking it up beyond the parameters I set for my desktop size. This didn't change the issue either.

The "visible" setting for the desktop object is ignored since it must always be visible (guess I should change it so it always says True instead of False even though it is ignored).

There are no default sizes, so not sure what your 440x398 issue is. Are you resizing by using the spinner/numeric controls or by dragging the form size?

Take a look at your XML file and see what size is saved there (you can always edit it and override also).

Sorry I don't have a better answer for you as this isn't an issue that anyone else has had/seen.

I was trying from the spinner/numeric. I tried the drag and size method, but I could not resize the box doing that method. I went into the XML and made the change and that seems to have done the trick.

Thanks for the help.

So, not sure from reading above... will this work on Jessie?
