Galvanized vs. PVC conduit

I am going to use conduit to route my wires around my rig and keep things clean. Can someone provide me their opinions on galvanized vs. PVC conduit? One advantage of the galvanized I can think of is I can use it as the ground return circuit rather than having to run a separate ground wire to all the devices. I could just ground everything to the gang boxes and then ground from the conduit to my enclosure/house ground.

Well as an Australian I would recommend PVC conduit...galvanised conduit pretty much doesn't exist over here!
The capability of being able to ground at local points is pretty handy but at the same time it isn't all that difficult to run a cable. PVC could be cheaper and easier to use and has the added bonus of not being able to rust!
Also PVC conduit is available in awesome high vis orange!
