Temperature Sensor for BCS460

Post by annecliff »

My fermenter presently has a temperature gauge that mounts through the wall of the fermenter with a metric M27X2 thread. I understand that I need to replace that with a 10 K Ohm NTC thermistor to use with the BCS460. Does anyone know where I can find such a thing?

annecliff, One option would be to buy an adapter to convert from M27X2 to female NPT (referred to as FPT), and purchase a pre-made temperature probe from Brewer's Hardware to go into your adapter fitting: http://www.brewershardware.com/BCS-NPT- ... e-Sensors/

I don't know where you might find such an adapter, but it's worth a shot!

You may be able to find find a direct fit compression fitting that would work.
Something like this:
