I know this is an old post, but did your relay board work when powered by 24VAC? They are 24VDC, but I can see how they may work on AC....
Do you happen to have more details on that board? The only 8-relay ones on electronics-salon now has DPDT relays, and is a bit different. any chance you can read the component specs and see if you think this 4-relay board is the same 'series'? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Four-4-Relay-Mo ... 1e6ac58768
