M12 Quick Cable Disconects

Hi All,
I'm thinking about using a BCS-462 to control 3 fermentation chambers and a keezer. I'm considering using a panel mount for the 462 with M12 cable disconects for the temperature probes. As look at the the male M12 panel mount, I see three wires. One would go to the associated temp out and the second would go to the ground on the 462. My question is... how about the third? Would I use the third wire to ground to the "earth ground"? If not, then what would I do with it?

I don't believe you use the third. At least that's how mine is wired and I haven't noticed any issues.
