Some quick reading indicates that the -12V rail on most ATX supplies has a fairly low maximum amperage (in the vicinity of 1A.) As JonW points out, make sure you don't overdraw whatever is listed on the specs stamped on the supply.

Thanks, I'll check. Having 5v, 12v, 24v, and 120v AC that convenient is alluring.
