Maximum lenght between bcs and temp probe

Post by tonio »

Hi

I would like to know what is the maximum possible lenght between temperature probe and the bcs.
My fermentation room is far from my brewing stand (about 50 feet).

Sorry for my bad english

regards

50 feet should be fine. Make sure you have wired a jumper between the BCS ground and the AC (earth) ground. If you don't do this, your temps will fluctuate up and down.

Thank you for your help.
Do I have to use special wire for that?

No, not really, but using twisted and/or shielded will only help with noise immunity.
