5 v For DIN

Post by oakbarn »

I am using a Bistable Relay for some DINs. Now that I have my new 5 v Regulator powered by my 12 VDC Power Supply, should I use it for the 5 + to a DIN or just use the BCS 5+ for the DIN? The Regulator is Rated at 10a but my 12 vdc is only 1.25a so I would be getting 3a Max.

It's not going to really matter. The current is a non-issue since you're not really using any current when triggering a DIN. If it were me, I'd stay with the BCS 5V+ out to run the DIN's for the simple matter of that being a clean and stable source versus the other 5V supply may not always be as clean when relays are being triggered.
