Sorry if this has come up before but I've just wired up two SSR (Mager) and they seem to be operating in revers. I.e As soon as I turn the BSC on the SSRs switch to open the circuit and in manual mode when I go to turn the outputs on they turn off... Am I missing somethig here?
For the wiring I have the following:
1) Live in
2) Live to device
3) 5V+ from BCS
4) Output from BCS
And don't laugh at my lunch box enclosure, this is a proof of concept for the wiring before I go hacking away at my proper enclosure.
I'm scratching my head on this one and it's driving me batty...
SSR operation seems backwards...
Re: SSR operation seems backwards...
Ahaha - I'm a self proclaimed idiot... When I was making notes for the wiring I've messed up the DIN and OUT so I was in effect creating a loop by using the 5V+ connector as + and the OUT as the - on the control side... all fixed now, let the trial run of my RIMS tube begin tomorrow =)
Re: SSR operation seems backwards...
Yeah, you had them wired up for a sinking output configuration. The BCS has sourcing outputs (ON = 5v),
You want pin3=BCSOut, pin4=BCSgnd. That is a good way to create a NC ssr though, lol
