wiring Brutus 10 diagrams

Post by lotwookie »

Ok the moment of the build i have been dreading the most. I'm building a Brutus 10 system and went with the BCS-460 because of how adamant everyone was about it as a temperature control system. I have to admit im very intimidated by the thought of wiring up my system. I have 2 march pumps, 2 Honeywell gas burner valves, and 4 temperature probes. 1 for each of my converted keg shells, and 1 for my therminator. I'm very surprised though at the lack of diagrams out there. I see this is a pretty common problem that other people are having as well. Does anyone have a similar build with a diagram and photos?

My system is three temps and two gas valves (one with high fire). Would that help you out? Todd

I updated my 3-element - 4-pump system, you would most likely hook up the gas valves like pumps, that is with a relay, but instead of 120VAC, you would use 24VAC and 24V panel lamps or LEDs..

I am designing my brutus wiring. my question is I want to manually switch the asco valve on adn the pumps. If I wired every thin to go thru the bcs460 controlling it. Can I apply power direct to the SRS output thru a switch to nenegrize either the pump or the solenoids? Jus wonder since the ssr is of but I am placing 110 on the other side dont know if this damage anything.

The oner alternative is to have a switch connected to the inpit of the SSr. but then I will be toggling the output on the bcs 460 side .

just want to use simple switch vs. center on/off
