Enclosures...

Post by rhagerbaumer »

I'm having a heck of a time finding a decent enclosure box for the BCS, Power Supply, SSR's, etc. I have a 10"x11" box and it is woefully small.

Ideally it would be between 12" to 16" inches wide. Hinged cover is required. A back-board or mounting plane would be great too.

Any links or part numbers would be appreciated.

Look for alarm enclosures. Many are in the 14"x14" size range w/ hinged lids and about 4" deep. That is what i use.

Here's a link for two example ones: http://www.easycart.net/HAI/Enclosures.html

Jon,

Thanks for the link! Those are great prices. They didn't have dimensions with the boxes though.

I found another site that lets you plug in your search criteria (width, height, depth, doors, etc.) Much more friendly then the Grainger site! I found a good box for my needs. Well, that's what I thought with the first enclosure I bought. And the second... third time should be the charm, right?!
