Contactor - Simple Terms?
Can anyone provide the purpose of a contactor in a 240v SSR controlled electric brewery? Why are they needed? Are they needed?

A contactor is a great way to remove all high voltage(in our case, this is above 24VAC) from exiting your control panel.. using an e-stop button and BCS I/O to control this contactor is a recommended practice... research 'e-stop'...
