Solid State relays

Post by bsfixit »

I got my first set of SSR's on Saturday .D2425, 240v 25 amp 3-30 volt DC input control .. I hope to set up a turkey fryer electic setup .. it can bring 3 gallons of oil to 400 deg. I am sure it can heat 6 gallons of water to 170 or more easily.
I am going to try to start a electrical box for SSR's using a intel P4 heatsink and thermal past to dissipate heat from the heating element .. not concerned about the march pump
amps and heat .. this will be mounted to the back of the electrical box and will be fine for a couple of amps for the march pump.. Since this is an outdoor high humidity setup . I plan to in case the BCS in some type of air tight enclosure. I dont think heat from the BCS should be a problem . all SSR's and related wiring will be in a metal electrical box.
when I get something together I will post up .. maybe with pictures.

EDIT : see this link for first load center build its still evolving http://forum.northernbrewer.com/viewtop ... 35#p642335
