Not really my idea as I just read the postings from here http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/program ... on-150015/
I really like the new gauges but sometimes I am trying to read the temps from a distance and can't see them. Having the option of Giant digital number readout would be awesome. Gauges = cool retro Giant numbers = practical for old eyeballs.
Any hope for this ??

Re: Next upgrade idea
Yuri has done a nice job as I'm sure most here have seen already.

Could anyone tell me how to make these gauges part of my BCS? Or is that way too much for a guy with no programing experience?
It would be a nice feature to be able to choose different gauge styles. I'm guessing that would probably take a lot of programing, or memory probably both. As I said I know nothing about programing.

Re: Next upgrade idea
Um, those are BCS gauges. Except with a red needle. There are lots of ways that it could be done.
Re: Next upgrade idea
RonRock,
Have you had a chance to upgrade the flash of the BCS460 to the new v2.0 version? As stated, those gauges are a spin-off of the new gauges used. http://forum.embeddedcontrolconcepts.co ... ?f=4&t=196 As I found out, you have to be using the latest version of Firefox to enjoy the gauges.
I do like the red needles as well but I would rather have faster performance from the BCS460 than a bunch of extra coding to have an option to select various gauge styles.

Re: Next upgrade idea
Yes I have the V2. I agree performance wins over bloat. Yuri's gauge also has the digital counter in the face of the gauge as well as the needle color.
Not a big deal to me, as I said I know nothing about programing. It was just a thought.

Re: Next upgrade idea
There is no way to do what you are asking other than either having the developer(ecc) update the ui, or for you to implement your own interface from scratch using the open interface documented in his wiki(and yes, too much work if you have no programming experience).
I find it amusing that the gauges you are asking for integration are the proof of concept ones I sent adam, which he made look totally pro, that yuri then tweaked a bit further...seems like open source at it's finest....go team internet.
