Solid State Relays

Post by Kent »

I have been getting by with one relay per heater, but was considering adding another per heater. I bought the ones I have from here, but it doesn't look like you carry them anymore and I don't see them on Brewers Hardware either. Are they still available somewhere... I would like to keep the same brand throughout.

They were available through eBay for quite a while, although I don't see any auctions for the same ones. I'm looking for a supplier for relays and other items to add them to Brewers Hardware. My main concern is a quality and consistent part.

Look for the auctions that picture them in the little cardboard boxes.

This is the eBay store that sells the relay boards, there are simply no listings right now as they are on holiday: http://stores.ebay.com/electronicssalon

For SSRs, I have been using these for years with consistent results: http://www.alliedelec.com/search/produc ... u=70130431

I generally find those SSRs on eBay for 1/2 that price.

I just got these in from EBay. They are the same ones you can wait forever to get from China, from a US distribution point. I bought 6 of them and they came pretty quickly. They are just a couple bucks more than the Chinese ones. Free shipping and $6.79 each isn't bad.

Edit: Yikes I just noticed you said heaters. These are only rated at 25A, so for motor control they'd be OK.

Thanks guys. I will have to double check what brand they are and do some searching. They are the 40amp ones, not the 25.
