Temperature probes submersible?

Post by timweber »

I wanted to know if the temperature probes and cord are submerssible. I would like to use one to monitor my hot liquor tank's temperature (an igloo cooler), without drilling a hole in the side.

Don't think it is waterproof/submersible. You might want to read this thread from HBT to waterproof it http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f11/remote- ... ing-26905/

Here's another solution:

The connection from the wire to the stainless probe is 'splashproof', not intended to be submersible.
