Now that I have the BCS-460 to be used in my brewery I want another for my fermention chamber! But I can't justify spending another $200 for each of my fridges, which are located in different parts of my house.
Suggestion: A cheeper bare bones BSC with one input, one output. Data logging and time counters would still be nice though. If the price was right I would buy 3 or 4 to replace my rancos.
Just a thought.
Suggestion for a new product
Re: Suggestion for a new product
You can run a cat-5 cable basically an infinite length and have a satellite box with ssr's in it, so the only thing being sent is the low voltage control signal. I have done this as my brewery and fermentation chamber are in different places...just string a little cat-5 and set it all up. I put headphone jacks on either end to make moving and using different cables sort of plug & play.
Check out the Brew Buddy for iphone controlling your bcs-460.

Tim,
You could also make some sort of quick connect to the fermentaion setup. Simply move your BCS from your brew area to your fermentation. If I had a fixed location to brew, I would wire it like NPOX suggested.
