50 kohm thermistors

I sent a query to Aubrins as I like their cables and Quick Disconnects for the sensors about 10 Ohm sensors:
This was their reply:
"We carry some NTC thermistor type sensors for our electric smoker controllers. However, these are 50 kohm thermistors. We don't have the sensor that you are asking about."
Since these are 50 kohm, I assume they would not work or can I put in the co effiencients to use them?
