Ramp down a fermenter

Post by Pesho77 »

I'm tryin to ramp down a fermenter ive set my ramp at start temp 18c and end temp 6c and time at 24H, and ive set the output control to cool and hysteresis with a set point of 6 and a swing of 1, when I enter these details it resets the temp in the output control to 17.9 I cant work out why.

Where have I gone wrong.

Also would it matter if I " ramp down too fast" at the start of fermentation or can the yeast take it ?

TIA

The way the ramp mode works is that it adjusts the actual setpoint value. It is adjusting it down from 18 to 17.9 as the first step in the ramp.
