Are you using a Brewers hardware probe, an earlier ECC probe or a probe from another source?

I had got the rims tube from Brewers hardware along with the tri clamp probe at the same time.

How are you determining that it is off by 4 degrees?

Putting the sensor in with a thermometer in several different water samples and my yeast does not end up going thru the last 3 or 4 gravity points the calculation predicts because my mash temp is always 4 degrees off from what it should be. I just brewed a beer and adjusted my temps accordingly and I hit my estimated FG exactly for the first time since I built this system.
