Real Time Clock?

Post by Rmntech »

Hi
I work on differing control systems for people, and came across this system.
It seemed robust, intuitive and easy to work with, but the customer expressed frustration with not having a realtime clock on board.
Rather than find out the definitive need of the customer, I opted to research the possibility first.
Does the BCS system have such a capability?
Thanks in advance!

The BCS does not utilize a real time clock. Brewing processes are not scheduled based off time of day, but rather based off running timers or on-demand start/stop. If you wanted, you could set a timer to perform a delayed start of a process to coincide with a certain time of day, but it isn't programmable based on a specific time. It would be possible to use an external time clock that could trigger an input on the BCS to also start processes.
