BCS Email Alerts

Post by ShaunVFX »

Hey!

One of the main reasons I picked up a BCS was for email alerting when states complete.

Upon receiving the bcs and powering it up I was able to get emails working. It's been over a month now and have since built a box and have everything operational.

I have been having issues getting emails to work. I have done some poking around and it looks like an ECC server side issue.

I read a post from Jon from over a year ago that apparently a new beta firmware was being tested and had this resolved via potentially custom config.

Is there any word on this? Super bummed as this was an important feature for me.

Thanks

Shaun

Does anyone know what commands are being sent by the BCS?

I could probably reroute traffic and impersonate the Target system and use my own email server to send the emails.

If it's doing a simple send mail or helo ehlo command then that would be awesome and probably easy to deal with.

Anyone know?

I'd like to see more on this topic. Does anyone have it working? Please tell.
Thanks!

Likely a Port 25 issue where it is blocked by your ISP.

We have a new build that will be posted shortly (4.02) that will address the e-mail problems and a few other new things.

Hey Jon, thanks for the response.

Any estimate on when this update might be released?

Thanks!

Hopefully in just a few days to a week. It has a whole new e-mail notification system that uses the Mailjet API for sending alerts, so it is no longer reliant on the (problematic) ISP mail that was used in the past.

It’s been 11 days. Has it been released, or are we going to see it anytime soon?
