Good call on the closed loop water expansion.. I hadn't thought of that issue.

I tried out this hotbox last Saturday. I did a step Mash. It performed really well as did the BCS. I found that the box heated the wort to about two degrees more than what the temp in the mash was. I was worried about over temps occurring and found that this didn't occur. The wort and the hot water were pumping continuously and the elements came on when the BCS determined they needed to be.

What a pleasure this box is.
