Would it ever be possible to display the current step of the brewing process on a single line LCD display in any future upgrades of the BCS460 or 462? I am thinking something along the lines of a "computer-less" design use of the BCS. Something that would allow the brewer to use the BCS with only the control panel and not the GUI interface. Perhaps a user could use din "buttons" to advance the brewing process to the different steps. The current step could be displayed on a single line LCD display such as shown below.
The temp and setpoint would be displayed on the 7-segment display which is already available.
I could make something similar to this which would just activate a 22mm LED light based on whatever step I am using but it would tie up outputs.
The GUI, of course, would be used to program your BCS.
