I'm getting close to having my brewery functional. Now is the time to get a handle on programing the BCS to do what it is capable of. Unfortunately I'm more adapt with a hammer than a keyboard. So in my efforts to figure this out, I have determined it may be best for me to load one of the config files I have found on the BCS site. As an example of what can be done and how.

How do I download and install them to my BCS?

The config files are at the bottom of the examples pages:

Download the file that matches your BCS's firmware, as v1.x has a different config file as v2.x. So, say for example that you are running v2.1 firmware. Download this file (save it somewhere where you can find it):

Then, in your BCS's System Settings page, go to the System Restore section. Browse for the previously saved config file, select it, and then press the Load button. After a few seconds, the screen should go blank (which means it worked). Hit your back button and reload, and you should see the new settings loaded. Good luck!

Thanks that helps. I kind of figured that out, had not tried it yet. I see in several places on the forum posted what looks like config files like here:

Now are these also usable as a config? Do I "Select all" then Notepad + Paste, and "Save as" .cfg.

There isn't a config file in the thread that you mention. All config files should be a comma separated list.

Since they are just text files, you can save them as you describe. Another method is to right-click the link, and 'save link as'.

In the link, the box that says "Code Select all" that's not a config?

No, that's just a description of a process.

I put it in a code box so that I could use indents to make it more readable. Code boxes are a feature of most forums, intended for posting code (C, java, etc.), which bypass the 'normal' formatting, and allow spaces, indents, and monospace fonts.

The Wiki was only useful for 3.x versions. Now that most everyone is using 4.x, the new docs are more appropriate.
