It took a while but I finally figured out that the output argument in uinputo.dat is in hex. There was lots of head scratching till the light bulb went on.
I signed up for wiki access, but I can't figure out how to make any changes/additions to it.
I thought it would be nice to mention that the argument is in hexadecimal as I haven't noticed that referenced anywhere. Maybe that's obvious to some, but I'm in the deep end learning to swim.
Open interface arguments are in hex.

You may have to wait to be approved for the wiki access. There were some spammers that were hitting it in the past so Adam probably locked it down.

The wiki is setup to only allow posts by users that aren't 'new'. I'm not exactly sure how long it takes for your account to settle in, but please try back. My guess would be a few days from account creation.
