Basic Programming Help

Post by eatmoshad »

Just learning how to use the BCS! I finished my brewing station and hoped to get a basic program from someone who has experience.
I have updated to the latest version on the BCS.
I have (1) HLT; (1) Mash; (1) Kettle- 3 ignition controlled gas valves with pilot lights. I also have 2 March pumps. 2 Temp Probes-(1) in the HLT; (1) in the Mash. Everything is connected to the bcs, tested and working correctly. At this point I need to name the processes, etc.
To start off, I want to heat my water in the HLT, transfer the water to the Mash, maintain the temp, sparge, transfer to the boil kettle for a specific time.
Thank you so much for your help, the forum has been wonderful in creating the system.

Take a look at this link for some extra help. It has some really good system examples.

I would also read the post on
http://www.embeddedcontrolconcepts.com/ ... 8718#p1838

this will help you understand what to set for your gas valves. I started with just heating my HLT for strike water. I raised the temp 10F at a time so I could see how my gas valves where going to fire the burner.

I only change or add one item at an edit so until I have an idea how things work.

good luck todd
