Setting up public access for Mac?

Post by nuke314 »

Can any one post how to set up the public access point? I tried to follow the wiki page instructions but it did not work for me. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Which wiki instructions did you follow? Are you talking about the observer password? or is this the more difficult question of how to poke a hole in your firewalls so people from the outside can see your bcs?

You found the right page, you need to setup your router to port forward a high port(like 8080 or 8000) to the port 80 of your bcs's ip address(e.g. 192.168.1.200) on your private network. This is neither a mac or a pc thing, more of a linksys/dlink kinda thing.
