I have seen apps behave strangely before, so there's a good chance that there's nothing wrong or I am doing something wrong. I tried a couple of things to troubleshoot. I reinstalled the brewbuddy app and reset all of the settings on the phone. It would still crash the app when I attempted a set point adjust. I re-flashed 3.1 same result. I re-flashed 2.1 and it works again without crashing to the desktop. I re-re-flashed 3.1 and it goes back to crashing. I have a 3GS running iOS4 if that helps at all.

Sadly this is not the case. I have gone through the app tonight and can confirm the errors and conditions. I have modified all the health checks for the applications checks of the data requests to be based on minimums rather than exact count matches. I had removed some a while back, but I found a few more that needed to be updated. I have updated this and will post an update to the app store as soon as I finish testing the application.
I definitely see the issues doing temperature adjustments and have found other corner cases that might have resulted in unhappy application. I recently moved, so I have done all my testing against the demo bcs unit, I think this is a pretty hostile test environment for the application, but it is not the same as the better connections we have when it is on a same local network. I don't know specifically how this would hide any issues, but those sound awfully like self damning words.
I just uploaded an updated version of the application to the apple store, start the clocks. Apple has been much faster these days, so I am optimistic about how quickly the update will be available. Please let me know if you see any issues, my testing was tricky given I don't have a home network right now to test the application against, and have been using the public demo bcs!
It doesn't currently support them, i am going to have torque the UI around a bit to make it do that. I will do so, the release was too fix an incompatibility running the new firmware with the basic 4 probe configuration.
Is Brewbuddy (or the Mr Malty Calculator) using OS 4 specific code? I'm pissed that Apple has stopped updating my Touch Gen 1. I literally just went out to get an itunes card only to discover that I need OS 4 to run your apps.
