DINS to adjust Duty Cycle in 4.0?

Post by Matt B »

Hi guys,

First post here. I have my BCS 462 up and running my control panel. My set up is a 3 burner rig with RIMS. 4 DINS on the control panel. 1st is set to cancel the alarm. 2nd is to change a state. I would like to program the 3rd and 4th DINS to increase or decrease (respectively) a duty cycle for my Boil Kettle burner. Is there any way to do this in the 4.0 firmware? Thanks!

DINS are designed to be used in either state exit conditions or ladder logic. If you'd like to have the DIN's activate different duty cycles, you'll need to have pre-set duty cycles in a few different states of a process and use the DIN's to jump from state to state to activate to requested duty cycle.

I agree. This should be accomplish-able via ladder logic. Ladder has so much room for possible expansion/improvement.

I like the idea of this being possible through ladder logic. I'll have to look into how that might be implemented.
