Small Issue with BCS 482 in the Process Editor: Just look and feel as far as I can figure. I have brewed and there was not an issue.

The Outs 16 and 17 still are displayed.

I'm having a problem with the ladder logic since the new firmware update, I'm running firmware 4.1.2 build edf0fe2c
The issue I have is as follows
I have float switches which used to protect my elements using ladder logic i.e. if a process / state was asking the element to come on, and the float switch was not made the heat output would wait for the float switch to be made.
The output now comes on regardless if the float switch is made or not....
I have checked the ladder logic, and all is OK, it seems the hierarchy has changed and the ladder does not take priority anymore?

logic is as follows (simplified) |DIN1 | - |PROC0 | - |OUT0| - (OUT0)
|DIN1| = float s/w. normally open
|PROC0| = Fill and heat, state 2 calls for the output to come on. normally open
|OUT0| = Element output
(OUT0) = Element output

Has anyone else noticed this, or has a work around?

Cheers

Pete

Has anyone had any luck with the BCS Utilities? Mine seem to be very unstable and will work for a bit and then will get stuck on 'Loading data from BCS', even with the correct IP address.

I used to use the Recipe tab a fair bit but it now seems to be pretty much useless.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have a new BCS 482 and it is running 4.1.3 I don't see that firmware available as an update. I'm curious the changes from 4.1.2 to 4.1.3.

It would be interesting to know what the update consists of and to have the new firmware available. I can only assume that they may be working on instructions on how the new firmware will be applied to those of us that bought the BCS-482 when it first came out since the 482 uses a usb update not an tftp like the 460.
