ports forwarded straight through to the same port specified in the BCS, I can contact it and login but then the web interface crashes.
Works fine on the LAN and never crashes.
Any ideas?

Re: Web interface locks up when connecting over WAN
Are you using a static IP or DHCP? If static, do you have the default gateway in the BCS set correctly? Have you checked for a duplicate IP address on the network? Which BCS? 460, 462, 482?
What do you mean by the web interface crashes? I'm guessing you mean it doesn't render at the client properly?

Static and yeah gateway is set correctly, it does begin to render then just stops loading icons etc.
Crashes as in following the failed attempt it doesn’t render at all on LAN or WAN until the Bcs is power cycled.
Bcs 462.
4.0.1 build 84a28e7
Using chrome

Re: Web interface locks up when connecting over WAN
Have you checked for an IP address conflict? The BCS isn't going to crash and become unusable from both LAN & WAN just by simply accessing it through NAT. Using the BCS with NAT is a non-issue, so I suspect an underlying networking issue here.

No worries I appreciate your time

Re: Web interface locks up when connecting over WAN
I just noticed that you're on an early firmware version. I don't recall hearing of any issues related to NAT with prior versions, but it would be best to update to the latest version for any further testing.
Re: Web interface locks up when connecting over WAN
ok thanks, will give that a go.
I thought maybe it was too long of a DNS name I was hitting or MTU or something along those lines but if you haven't seen it before it is most likely environmental.
Cheers,
Moad.

No difference after updating.
Interestingly, I used my WAN IP rather than DNS name and it didn't have the same problem.
Cheers

Re: Web interface locks up when connecting over WAN
Glad it's working. That sounds like a NAT reflection/loopback issue. Are you using a DNS name that is mapped via a dynamic DNS service?
You can always add a DNS entry using the internal IP address to your local hosts file.
Re: Web interface locks up when connecting over WAN
Nope straight A record.
This was from outside not internally on the LAN.
I always use internal IP on the LAN.
Worth noting I’m using port 83, the NAT rule is 83> 83 no redirection
